ENOPI MATH & LANGUAGE of GREATER ST. LOUIS
The best way to contact Ms. Loribeth is ALWAYS via email. In order to minimize distractions to the students, she keeps her cell phone turned to vibrate or "off". She can read emails during class but cannot answer phone calls. An email to her will generate a same-day response. Voice mails can take up to 48 hours to return.

What do you do here?
- We are dedicated to designing individualized study plans to help students excel in all areas of mathematics and reading comprehension. Our program exceeds NCTM standards. We will accept students on a case-by-case basis as young as 3 ½. There is no upper limit on age. (An adult who wanted to “start over” in their “understanding” would be welcome).
How does your program work?
- An initial assessment is conducted of the child’s general concept knowledge. The result of the test determines a child’s starting point.
- Three weeks of relatively simple work is given to establish a good daily study routine.
- Then, the child’s information absorption rates are determined, and a weekly series of packets is assigned to the child. The child MUST complete SOMETHING every day. (Finishing the assigned packet is not the most critical component, but rather simply adhering to a daily discipline of personal study.)
- After completing the assigned sets, the student attends the class where corrections are studied, examples are shown, and practice problems are worked for the next week. Formal recommendations are then made to the parent based on the child’s work in class for the following week’s study.
Tuition Charges:
See link in the main menu for fees. Fees are based on "membership plus cost of completed sets." Sets may not be given without membership fee.
Due Date:
Tuition is due on 1st of the month. We prefer to autodebit from the credit card of your
choosing. If paying by check or cash, tuition is considered late after the 10th and a
$25.00 late fee is assessed. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month, no further work will be given until
account is brought current.
An individual tutor is available by appointment for directly tutoring schoolwork.
Tutors set their own fees, which are additional to the program.
Reading aloud sessions: 20.00/hour with the instructor, additional to the program. Worksheet study can be replaced with one hour of reading aloud work with the instructor without additional cost on a week-to-week basis.
How is your program different from others that are out there?
Excellent material design; colorful worksheets containing not only the basics of arithmetic, but also:
- Word problems
- Drill sheets to aid in developing deeper understanding
- Comics on the history of mathematics
- Thinking activities
- Logic Puzzles
- Wooden and Foam tangram puzzles, three-dimensional block puzzles
- Origami manipulation
- Classroom explorations using manipulative aids
- Frequent use of various puzzles to assist in developing perception and focus
- Weekly check-out program for manipulatives
- Weekly check-out program for mathematical games that aid understanding of specific portions of the worksheets
- Weekly mathematics competitions for students who have reached certain levels of mastery.
More elements of our program:
· Completely individualized study plan. There is no standard for how long it may take a student to complete a level. It depends entirely on the student’s ability to absorb concepts, and how quickly those concepts “decay” if they are not reinforced. That being said, most students finish quickly. Repetition is not as necessary in our program to achieve results. The more consistent the study, the quicker the progress.
· Timing is used as a measurement of balance of the homework, not to create stress on student.
· Listening to child’s comments and body language cues is essential piece of determining “correct” work.
· Daily study is THE mechanism upon which all development rests. The more disciplined the daily habit, the better outcome the student will experience.
· Parental training is provided after the first few weeks of study, to assist parents in understanding exactly what the requirements are for each week.
· Children maintain interest more easily than with other programs. Math program is more fully developed with fun activities to balance student interest.
· Levels can be mixed to some degree allowing for greater study flexibility than other programs allow on a case by case basis.
· The program meets weekly, year round. A student can start at any time.
· Challenge perception by looking at problems from more than one “process.” Critical thinkers are able to look at problems from multiple perspectives to find and confirm their answers.
