What classes do you offer?
We currently offer Math and Reading.
What do you do here?
We are dedicated to designing individualized study plans to help students excel in all areas of Mathematics and Reading Comprehension. Our program exceeds NCTM standards. We will accept students as young as 2 years old. There is no upper limit on age. (An adult who wanted to “start over” in their “understanding” would be welcome). We are not, however, a tutoring center.
What does the E.nopi program have to offer that differs from other programs?
Completely individualized study plan. There is no standard for how long it may take a student to complete a level. It depends entirely on the student’s ability to absorb concepts and how quickly those concepts “decay” if they are not reinforced. That being said, the program is designed to progress a four year old from basic Math to Algebra II by age 14. Repetition is not a focus in our program, we focus on understanding of the concept. We only repeat children's work when absolutely necessary for a concept to be reinforced. The more consistent the study, the quicker the progress.
Excellent material design; colorful worksheets containing not only the basics of arithmetic, but also:
Word problems
Drill sheets to aid in developing deeper understanding
Comics on the history of mathematics
Thinking activities
Logic Puzzles
Wooden and Foam tangram puzzles, three-dimensional block puzzles
Origami manipulation
Classroom explorations using manipulative aids
Frequent use of various puzzles to assist in developing perception and focus
Weekly check-out program for manipulatives
Weekly check-out program for mathematical games that aid understanding of specific portions of the worksheets
Weekly mathematics competitions for students who have reached certain levels of mastery.
When/How do I sign my child up?
We offer classes every week year around. You can sign up at any time by following the three steps on our New Student Inquiries and Registrations page
What is Parent Orientation?
The Parent Orientation is an opportunity to see our program in detail while having a chance to have all your questions answered. You and your children will also experience a class session from start to finish during this time to familiarize yourself with the center. The orientation starts at 6:30 and will run until the last question is answered. We look forward to having this opportunity to share our passion for teaching children.
